Sounds of Silence Soothes the Soul

Silence.  Indeed it can be golden.

I have had a pretty amazing last few days.  Nothing out of the ordinary happened; I'm just in a really, really good place.

I feel balanced.  I feel peaceful.  I feel, dare I say it?  Content.

I have everything I need, and everything I want.  It does not come without sacrifice, but when you learn to adjust and accept and BE THANKFUL, a certain amount of stillness, calm and overwhelming happiness can enter ones heart and mind.

Do away with the negative energy, wherever it may come from, and what follows is nothing short of nirvana.

Thankfully yesterday I was scheduled for a 4:30pm practice at hot yoga.  The weather here in SETexas turned from ok to omg within minutes mid-afternoon.  20 deg temp drop with howling winds and by 7pm a feels like temp of 27.  Me no likey.

90 min of hot, intense yoga was just what the doctor ordered and I went at it pretty hard.  It was overly crowded, therefore the humidity level was up, therefore making it a bit more difficult to want to push yourself.  I have been working hard at perfecting my chatarunga pushups and hover, and I can feel the strength but with the hover its still difficult for me to get lower.  I know it will come but sometimes I can be impatient!  :O)  I will be taking a few less classes next week.  Week before race day plus I have 4 nights of extracurricular stuff I have to attend to in the evenings.  Next week will be mostly about running with only one practice of hot yoga.  :O(

Today is a SRD, and honestly my schedule for a long run tomorrow (1 week out from race day) only shows me at 8 miles.  I'm going to do 10.  And I am not getting up at 5am to run with the group at 6am either.  I am going to sleep in (which means I will probably wake up around 6 or 6:30) and then just run a 10 mile route from my house.  From my house to Rice, around and back is 6 miles.  Grab some G2 that I will leave out and then run my favorite 4 mile route through Montrose.
What sucks no matter if I run at 6 or 7:30am its going to be colder than all get out.

Hope you had a good run.

I'm really far behind on my google reader, as you can tell. I got back into town late Thursday night and just now pulled my laptop out of my workbag and set it back up.
